May be it was the flooding last year, may be they had heard that Gloucester City Council were trying to persuade us to move this event to Gloucester, but for some reason they decided that for the first time in 14 years we would not want to use Tewkesbury School  Playing Fields this weekend and let it for a Dog Show.

Unfortunately, the overtures from Gloucester came to nothing, as the site originally discussed was not available and the proposed alternative unsuitable. All this is probably good news, as we have found what looks to be a far better venue at Newlands Park. This is situated on The A435 Cheltenham to Evesham Road by the trafic lights just past Cheltenham Race Course. Turn into Southam Lane and entrance is on the left.

Although the flying field is slightly smaller, this site has a number of advantages. We have acess to toilets and showers 24 hours a day and there is a social club and bar open afternoons and evenings. They are also serving food, including breakfasts. As was planned last July there will be no arena program, so the whole field will be free to fly what you want.

Camping on site is from Friday evening until Monday morning, but the site must be cleared by midday. Entry to the site will be from 5.30 on the Friday evening. Please note that dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the site and any mess cleared immediately. Dogs can be exercised nearby.
