Kite Kamp 2012
Welcome everyone to this year's Annual Golden Valley Kite Fliers KITE KAMP. Once again, it will be at Newlands Park, Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham. GL52 3PE on the 28th and 29th July 2012.
As in previous years, this will be a very informal affair but with the odd competition such as an altitude sprint, can clobbering, Rok Fight and a surprise event, all will be revealed on the day.
Once again, we will extend a invitation to Paul and Helen Morgan (Sky Bums), so here is your chance to stock up on kite spares etc.
Those wishing to camp, the field will be open from 5.00 pm onwards (not before please) on Friday 27th July where a welcome get together will be held in the clubhouse. You can also camp until midday on Monday the 30th July. No pre-booking required. Unfortunately there will be a small fee (TBA nearer the date). If you require information about local B & B's or hotels, please conact us.
We expect to have CAA clearance to 1000 ft to fly your kites, no higher please.
The clubhouse offers a full range of refreshments and food: There are also showers available throughout the weekend.
